POC Coron Air Mips is a perfectly crafted full-face helmet from the Swedish brand POC. The helmet was developed and tested by Martin Södeström and Robin Wallner, riders from the POC Team.
It is designed to provide protection all day long. The construction offers maximum comfort, adaptability, and performance. Optimal ventilation channels provide excellent airflow at both low and high speeds, which is especially useful for enduro racing. The shell with a multi-layer EPP liner offers perfect durability and low weight.
It was primarily designed for use in competitions and races but also performs excellently during training sessions or leisurely descents.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
