Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
The Koroyd system consists of thousands of co-polymer extruded tubes that are heat welded to form a unique, consistent and fully engineered core. This technology can be integrated into products ranging from action sports equipment to industrial protection and child car seats. The deep green color and honeycomb shape is typical of this head and body protection system.
AirEvac is a patented ventilation system that works with the ventilation holes on the Smith glasses, they have a constant flow of air through the entire system. Ventilation in the front of the helmet brings cool, dry air into strategically placed channels in the helmet shell. Vents on the top and back of the shell are used to exhaust hot air that would otherwise be trapped around the wearer's head. This airflow contributes to a more comfortable riding experience and also helps prevent the glasses from fogging up.
X-Static is a silver-coated textile fiber with unique properties. Provides the most powerful antimicrobial and odor elimination system available using pure silver. It has the best possible thermodynamic properties that are able to transfer heat, so you stay warm in winter and cooler in summer. Contains no chemicals. It is completely safe for people and the environment.
