Full-face helmet for top performance and maximum protection in the bike park and on flow trails.
The shell made using Multi Inmould technology is complemented by 16 ventilation holes for effective airflow and head cooling in any situation.
The sliding MIPS liner reduces the impact of rotational forces on the brain during a fall.
Safe and comfortable helmet adjustment is facilitated by Monomatic and anatomical IAS systems.
By removing the chin guard, the helmet can be converted from a full-face to a classic one and vice versa within seconds, using just one hand.
The helmet is available in two sizes: 52-57 cm and 57-61 cm.
Weight: 455 g without the chin guard, 670 g with the chin guard.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
The fastening mechanism located under the chin has several positions and can be easily adjusted with one hand while riding. Its flat design prevents twisting in the hands. Monomatic® is, without exception, standard equipment on all Uvex helmets.
