Troy Lee Designs D4 Composite Mips Ever Helmet for downhill and enduro.
The helmet has an EPS construction with Mips® C2 brain protection.
The helmet features front air intake and 20 ventilation openings for perfect airflow.
Technology X-static® and XT2® antimicrobial/odor-resistant padding.
It has quick-release and contoured 3D cheek pads for emergency helmet removal.
The helmet is complemented by stainless steel D-rings.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
X-Static is a silver-coated textile fiber with unique properties. Provides the most powerful antimicrobial and odor elimination system available using pure silver.
