Poc Fornix has been one of the most popular helmets from POC in recent years. It’s very lightweight, offers excellent ventilation, and is also very safe.
The ventilation system can be adjusted. The EPS core is very well designed in terms of its shape. The top of the core is protected by an aramid layer, which provides protection in a fall while also dispersing the energy generated during impact.
Thanks to the adjustable sizing option, this helmet can be easily tailored to fit the skier’s head size. Another feature is MIPS technology. The aim of this technology is to reduce rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the slope. In an impact from any angle, the MIPS system allows the helmet’s EPS shell to rotate slightly independently around the head. Although this movement is only a matter of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
