Obex MIPS is the ideal companion for the slopes.
The lightweight in-mold construction of polycarbonate and ABS (on top) is complemented by a MIPS low-friction liner, which reduces rotational forces during a fall or impact, helping to protect the brain.
The size can be adjusted without needing to change the liners, using the 360° system.
Removable ear pads provide comfort across a wider range of temperatures.
The helmet features ventilation openings, including front anti-fog vents for goggles.
Compatible with the POC AID Communication Ear Pads headset and POC goggles.
Included in the package: a secure goggle clip and chimneys for venting moisture from goggles.
Certifications EN 1077-B, ASTM F2040, UKCA.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (abbreviated ABS) is an amorphous thermoplastic industrial copolymer that is resistant to mechanical stress. Rigid, tough, resistant to low and high temperatures, low absorbency, harmless to health. It is resistant to acids, hydroxides, hydrocarbons, oils, fats.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
