R2 Orion comfortable sports MTB shoes suitable for cycling and touring. The shoes feature optimal torsional stiffness and sole grip, resilient even in tougher terrains.
Midsole made from EVA foam and the upper, exceptionally breathable seamless construction material, ensure walking comfort, problem-free, long wear without pressure points, and maximum response while pedaling. The R2 Orion are equipped with a DIAL quick-release system (a tightening wheel with a cable) that provides the ideal fit of the foot in the shoe.
The cushioned sole of the shoes is ready for use with SPD pedal systems.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials.
