Ride Concepts Hellion are elite all-round cycling shoes for platform pedals with increased resistance to adverse wet weather conditions. They are lighter, faster, and more durable.
The choice of materials and construction is tailored for harsher conditions in wet weather. Everything is refined to the smallest detail, whether it's the special two-panel construction that minimizes the number of seams needed (and thus the places where moisture can penetrate), special lightweight yet durable abrasion-resistant patches at the front and back, special water-repellent surface treatment, tongue gussets that prevent dirt and moisture from entering, or cleverly designed oval eyelets for laces that reduce space for potential moisture intrusion.
They offer superior equipment (including unique D3O protective elements), excellent sole grip, durability, top-notch design, and uncompromising quality. Riders appreciate that they fit excellently, ventilate well, are sturdy, yet very comfortable. The compound used on the sole is developed in collaboration with the iconic Rubber Kinetics (Good Year) company and according to tests by independent media, fully competes with the industry's top performers.
They also appreciate the Hexagon tread pattern of the sole, which is tuned differently for each shoe model and use and this in the finest details, including the width of the gaps. Thanks to this, it holds pins excellently even in wet and muddy conditions.

EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
D3O® offers the thinnest and most advanced impact protection available. Their products are used around the world by military, professional athletes, industrial workers and everyday bike riders. D3O utilizes unique patented technologies to produce soft, flexible, speed-sensitive materials with high impact absorption properties, which are used in impact protection products. Based on non-Newtonian principles, the material's molecules flow freely in their raw form, allowing it to be soft and flexible, but lock into each other upon impact to dissipate impact energy and reduce the transmitted force.
