More informationLightweight men’s MTB shoes for riders looking for a high-performance touring shoe that combines maximum-efficient power transfer in the saddle with comfortable, secure walking off-road when it’s time to get off the bike.
Rubber outsole was designed to fit a wide range of platform pedals, and thanks to its special tread pattern it’s optimized for reliable grip off the bike—especially in wet conditions.
The midsole made from recycled nylon saves energy while pedaling, so cleats aren’t a necessity.
The Volume Tour Last fit in the ball-of-the-foot area allows natural foot flex while walking or climbing.
With the BOA L6E dial, you can adjust the fit quickly and precisely.
The upper is made from a combination of mesh and TPU for maximum comfort, breathability, and durability.
The shoes feature a special Splash Shield waterproof layer at the toe to help keep your foot dry.
We recommend buying Shimano shoes half a size to one size larger than your usual size.
Mesh is a barrier material that is made from connected strands. These strands can be made of fiber, metal or any flexible material. The mesh fibers are joined together to form a mesh that has many different uses and applications. Mesh fabric can be highly durable, strong and flexible. They are known and commonly used in cases where liquid, air and fine particles need permeability.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). BOA Technology Inc. is headquartered in Denver, CO with offices in Austria, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan.

After my Adidas cycling shoes fell apart after 20 years of use, I was looking for a suitable replacement. After a good experience with Shimano road shoes and because I no longer felt like dealing with laces, I chose this option. The result is complete satisfaction. There is nothing I could fault the shoes for, and besides buying a Brooks rubber saddle I consider the purchase of these shoes the best investment in cycling accessories... The question is whether they will also last 20 years. A bit of a problem is that Shimano supplies footwear only in whole sizes, so not everyone will probably hit the size exactly.
