The legendary Rock Shox Boxxer downhill fork is back in its best and latest version, the Ultimate D1.
Newly designed by the best riders for the fastest racers in the world! The all-new 38mm lower legs house the latest DebonAir+ air suspension with Butter Cups, giving you the feeling of using a coil fork, but with an incomparably lighter weight.
In combination with the Charger 3 RC2 damper cartridge, specially tuned for downhill speed, the BoXXer Ultimate takes you straight to the top of the podium.
MAIN FEATURES:
NEW 38 mm diameter lower legs designed to meet the needs of the fastest racers with balanced stiffness and ride quality
NEW DebonAir+ air suspension with Butter Cups offers the perfect combination of smooth response to small bumps, increased support mid-stroke, and higher ride height for confidence in steep sections
NEW design in a signature BoXXer Electric Red shade with new graphics
NEW compatibility with RockShox Premium front fender (RockShox Bolt-On front fender included)
NEW lightweight machined and anodized crown for top-notch aesthetics and durability
Option for short and long crowns for different head tube lengths
Charger 3 damper with High Speed Compression, Low Speed Compression features and new Low-Speed Rebound, each click is significant and precise for perfect tuning
ButterCups technology blocks 20% of high-frequency "trail chatter," reducing hand and arm fatigue, leaving you fresh with better control
Low-friction SKF seals ensure long-lasting fork performance and enhance overall suspension feel
Maxima Plush damping oil reduces friction and quiets damper noise
Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube reduces friction, lasts longer, and improves suspension performance ride after ride
Why change a good thing? To make them unbeatable. DebonAir+ is the result of a constant search for optimal performance. The new DebonAir+ builds on everything you know and love about DebonAir technology – and then some. The goal was to provide a uniform riding experience for all three fork platforms, where each would correspond to the volume of air in both the positive and negative chambers.
The Charger 3 damping oil cartridge comes with independent adjustment of high-speed and low-speed compression. No more worrying about trade-offs where HSC affects LSC or vice versa. For you, this means more control, confidence and comfort, to enjoy the trails. Tuning the suspension to your riding and trail style has never been so precise and comfortable. Welcome to the future.
Two small rubber pucks, coated with gold paint, are placed on the right end of the shock absorbers and air springs and fit into the fork stanchions. ButterCups dampen high-frequency vibrations before they vibrate your hands and arms. ButterCups are part of all Ultimate models and can be retrofitted to all Pike, Lyrik and ZEB models. For example, in quick sections of trail with roots and rocks ButterCups eliminate neverending chatter.
Rock Shox's continued collaboration with Maxima Racing Oils has resulted in an improved oil, developed with leading experts in the field of performance lubrication. The oil is specially designed for the new Rock Shox fork range, where the aim was to create the perfect lubricant blend to keep your suspension fresher.
Everyone likes a good partnership, which is why we have been working with SKF, the world's leading manufacturer of seals, for more than 5 years. Together, we provide fork dust wipers with extremely low friction, less fatigue and unmatched suspension feel, all while keeping dirt where it belongs. Because nobody wants dirt inside a fork or shock.
