Low-cut men’s shoes with a Vibram sole for reliable high-altitude hiking across a wide range of terrain and conditions.
The Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole, made exclusively for Salewa, delivers enhanced performance and control across a wide range of mountain terrain and also excels in wet and muddy conditions thanks to dedicated zones for climbing, traction and braking.
The high-quality suede and stretch upper is equipped with a waterproof yet breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane. The large 360° rubber toe rand protects your feet from rocks and scree.
The shoes feature the patented 3F system with the 3F trademark and a steel cable, providing firm ankle support and lateral stability. The Flex Collar increases the rear range of ankle motion and comfort on hikes. They have a breathable, cushioning OrthoLite insole that allows air circulation, helping to wick moisture away from the foot.
Vibram is a manufacturer and brand of the most widely used rubber compound for the production of soles of various types of footwear, founded in 1937. To maintain the high standards of Vibram, each and every sole model undergoes a series of rigorous tests. The basic characteristics of Vibram soles are their abrasion resistance and grip, which are functional in a wide variety of climatic conditions. It also features long life, resists cracking and retains its properties on wet and dry surfaces.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
Gore-Tex is a registered brand with a history dating back to 1958, often associated with waterproof fabrics. The Gore-Tex material consists of a narrow porous membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon), which is laminated between other textiles, most often nylon or polyester. You can most often come across the term "Gore-Tex membrane".
