Lightweight, agile and precise women’s Wildfire 2 shoes with a rugged upper made from recycled mesh for via ferratas, scrambling and light alpine ascents.
Breathable upper made from recycled synthetic material with a mesh lining that is PFC-free. The reinforced toe edge made from TPU provides extra protection against scree and debris at the front of the shoe.
Wildfire 2 features a cushioning EVA midsole. The 3F System wraps the foot for flexibility, fit and support. The Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) insole is adaptable for a wide range of foot volumes and adjustments.
POMOCA® outsole is designed for precision and sensitivity on mixed mountain terrain, and its butyl compound ensures good grip on rock, both dry and wet. Salewa Switchfit lacing technology, where you simply tighten the lace at the rear loop and pull. The foot shifts forward into the toe box and compresses the toes just like climbing shoes.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
Mesh is a barrier material that is made from connected strands. These strands can be made of fiber, metal or any flexible material. The mesh fibers are joined together to form a mesh that has many different uses and applications. Mesh fabric can be highly durable, strong and flexible. They are known and commonly used in cases where liquid, air and fine particles need permeability.
