The Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole, made exclusively for Salewa, offers enhanced performance and control across a wide range of mountain terrains and excels in wet and muddy conditions thanks to dedicated zones for climbing, traction, and braking.
The shoes feature a durable, high-quality suede and stretch upper. They have a large front 360° rubber rand for additional protection against rocks and debris.
The shoes boast a patented 3F system with the trademarked 3F and a steel cable for firm ankle support and lateral stability. Flex Collar increases the rear range of motion of the ankle and comfort during hikes. They have a breathable and cushioning OrthoLite insole that allows air circulation, helping to wick moisture away from the foot.
Vibram is a manufacturer and brand of the most widely used rubber compound for the production of soles of various types of footwear, founded in 1937. To maintain the high standards of Vibram, each and every sole model undergoes a series of rigorous tests. The basic characteristics of Vibram soles are their abrasion resistance and grip, which are functional in a wide variety of climatic conditions. It also features long life, resists cracking and retains its properties on wet and dry surfaces.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
