Salewa Lavaredo is a versatile 26-liter backpack with a roll-top and a close-fitting carrying system suitable for hiking, traveling, or city use.
The backpack features a Dry Back Contact carrying system with excellent ventilation and EVA padding, which keeps your back dry, and patented split shoulder straps for better mobility and comfort. The backpack is suitable for both work and climbing, as it combines both elements, creating a backpack suitable for almost any activity.
It has a practical roll closure for quick access and separate compartments for gear or climbing shoes when heading to the rocks on a weekend. On weekdays, you will surely appreciate:
The Salewa Dry Back Air system is designed to keep the weight close to the body and ensure that the back stays dry for as long as possible. This has been achieved by reducing the contact area between the support system and the user's back, technical construction using air channels and breathable materials.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
