Lightweight pants designed for fast mountain ascents in changing weather.
Made from two-way softshell Durastretch material, which offers water and wind protection without sacrificing breathability.
The construction with an ergonomically shaped waist and pre-shaped knees excels during fast movements in demanding terrain.
The pants also offer two side zip pockets and one back pocket made of mesh, reinforced crotch, adjustable leg cuffs, and reflective elements.
Composition: main material 63% polyamide, 27% polyester, 10% elastane; mesh 93% polyamide, 7% elastane; lining 100% polyester.
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
Dryton is SALEWA's patented high performance synthetic functional fabric. It wicks moisture away quickly, is lightweight yet durable, comfortable to wear and easy to maintain. Dryton comes in a number of different blends, constructions and thicknesses. It is also available with high UV protection. SALEWA® uses Dryton to make base layers, mid layers, pants and shorts.
Mesh is a barrier material that is made from connected strands. These strands can be made of fiber, metal or any flexible material. The mesh fibers are joined together to form a mesh that has many different uses and applications. Mesh fabric can be highly durable, strong and flexible. They are known and commonly used in cases where liquid, air and fine particles need permeability.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
Spandex, Lycra or elastane are synthetic fibers known for their exceptional elasticity. It is stronger and more durable than natural rubber. It is a polyester-polyurethane copolymer that was invented in 1958 by chemist Joseph Shivers at DuPont's Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, Virginia. The advantage of spandex is its significant strength and elasticity, and the ability to return to its original shape after stretching and to dry faster than ordinary fabrics.
