Increased stability is ensured by the 3F system with nylon coated Kevlar® cables.
The upper is made from abrasion-resistant double ripstop - light transparent ripstop mesh and very durable ripstop. Protection against weather hazards and a comfortable internal climate of the shoe are ensured by powertex membranes. The EVA midsole layer provides optimal rebound and comfort.
The shoes are equipped with a Pomoca™ Speed Hiker Pro sole with a multidirectional pattern that works well on mud, grass, and rocks, and protects against slipping with S-Path technology.
This shoe is a product of SALEWA® Committed, made according to independently assessed standards of environmental and social responsibility and equipped with a PFC-free water-resistant layer.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
