Women's Pedroc Pro Powertex Mid technical boots with a lightweight and robust synthetic upper and an all-terrain sole.
Increased stability is provided by the 3F system with Kevlar® nylon-coated cables and the APS (Ankle Protector System) for enhanced ankle protection.
The upper is made of abrasion-resistant double ripstop – lightweight transparent ripstop mesh and highly durable ripstop. Protection from weather inconveniences and a comfortable environment for your feet are provided by the Powertex membrane.
The boots feature the Pomoca™ Speed Hiker Pro outsole with a multi-directional pattern that works well on mud, grass and rocks. Thanks to the pattern and the S-Path technology, you don’t have to worry about slipping.
Extra laces.
The boots are one of the SALEWA® Committed products, manufactured in accordance with independently assessed environmental and social responsibility standards. Therefore, the waterproof membrane is free of PFC chemicals.
The Salewa 3F System connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel, promoting flexibility, support and proper fit where needed.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
