The Puez Aqua 4 is a 2.5-layer ripstop jacket with a Powertex membrane that offers functional simplicity and protection for your alpine hikes and trekking adventures.
The Puez Aqua 4 jacket features a waterproof technical finish – a 10,000 mm water column with fully sealed seams and waterproof zips to protect you from unpredictable mountain conditions. The breathability is about 10,000 g/m²/24h, which helps reduce sweating during intense use.
In addition, this jacket is designed to be very lightweight (310 g – roughly the weight of two apples) and foldable into a small size for easy backpack storage.
The Puez Aqua is one of the SALEWA® Committed products made with recycled fabric and a durable water repellent (DWR) PFC-free finish that meets strict, independently assessed environmental and social responsibility standards.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
