The Santa Cruz Heckler SL 1 C Stout is a fast, lightweight, and playful full-suspension e-bike.
With a battery capacity of 430 Wh, it falls into the world of mid-weight e-bikes. On descents, it behaves like a classic trail bike and eagerly assists with pedaling uphill. It's equipped with a powerful drive unit with a torque of 60 Nm FAZUA RIDE 60, making it one of the more powerful in its category.
The bike is built on a C-spec carbon frame. Frames in this series are as strong and stiff as those in the higher CC series, though not as extremely light.
High-quality suspension is ensured by a FOX 38 Float Performance Elite fork with 160 mm travel and a Fox Float X2 Performance Elite shock with 150 mm travel.
The bike features precise SRAM GX Eagle shifting and a OneUp Dropper Post seatpost.

We use the same proprietary processes for our "C Carbon" frames as we do for our highest spec frames to retain the same legendary strength and stiffness that our CC frames are known for, but there is a slight weight penalty. We've achieved this by using a different grade of carbon material that results in minimal weight gain.
Since 2001, we've been using Virtual Pivot Point or VPP™ suspension design to bring you the best balance between pedaling efficiency and all-round shock absorption, all in an extremely strong and reliable design.
In a nutshell, VPP™ uses two parts that rotate in opposite directions to create a "virtual" pivot point, or instant center, that moves along the entire suspension path and determines the trajectory of rear wheel center movement. This virtual pivot makes this design highly tunable, allowing us to deliver the precise ride characteristics we demand, giving you the best riding experience no matter what Santa Cruz bike you ride.
The Flip Chip system presents fast geometry adjustment for better adaptation to the terrain and style of the environment. It is based on offset, double-positioned inserts in the upper linkage. Turning these inserts changes the headtube and seatube angles and bottom bracket height. A hex key is all you need to make the change.
Proportional geometry and stiffness is our way of specifically engineering each frame size so that certain elements scale as the frame size increases - so no matter your build, there are no compromises with performance, efficiency or fit.
We've taken this concept to the next level with proportional rear center or chainstay length and uniform frame stiffness. The result is a bike that is perfectly tuned in every size.
