Men’s off-road cycling shoes, ideal for any cycling adventure.
They feature a high-grip Ultread Ex outsole with an optimized tread pattern for demanding adventures on and off the bike. The three-panel closure straps include a BOA® L6E dial. 22% of the shoe is made from recycled materials.
The EX midsole with layered EVA foam absorbs heel impacts for more comfortable walking. The centrally positioned SPD cleat placement improves comfort during regular pedaling. The shoes have a durable toe cap that provides extra toe protection.
The stiffness index is 5. The cleats are SPD. Recommended pedals for these shoes are PD-M8120, PD-EH500. The fastening system is BOA® L6E.
We recommend buying Shimano cycling shoes half a size to one size larger than your usual size.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). BOA Technology Inc. is headquartered in Denver, CO with offices in Austria, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan.
