Chain Stripper is a biodegradable product from Silca that allows you to degrease your chain before applying wax. It's not necessary anymore to use solvents like isopropanol and acetone. This makes degreasing the chain easier, faster, and more environmentally friendly. Additionally, Chain Stripper acts as a primer, so the surface of the chain is better prepared directly for wax.
You can use Chain Stripper:
1) on a chain already mounted on the bike - use the dropper to apply it link by link, let it work for about 10 minutes, then reapply with the dropper and rinse the chain with water
2) on a new/dismounted chain - place the chain in a jar, pour in the Chain Stripper, shake well for about 1 minute, then let it sit for another 9 minutes, remove the chain from the jar, and rinse with water
Then apply the wax.
