SpeedBox 1.2 for Bosch (Smart System + Rim Magnet)

Description

Tuning chip for e-bikes with Bosch motors with Smart System + Rim Magnet (wheel valve cap magnet).

This chip was updated in 05/24 and supports software version 11.13.

(It's recommended not to update to later versions).
The warranty does not cover non-functionality of the product caused by motor updates.

How does SpeedBox 1.2 for Bosch work?
For the proper activation of all SpeedBox features, it's necessary to enter the menu and access the circumference setting of your e-bike after turning it on.
This chip also features easy operation. You activate the SpeedBox 1.2 chip on the e-bike display. Do not activate the tuning while riding! After briefly activating the WALK function (holding the “-” button), the display will show a speed of 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and from that moment, you can ride at a speed of 35 km/h. You can change the default speed limit to any limit (up to 99 km/h), but to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.
You can turn off the chip function by reactivating the WALK function (holding the “-” button). The display will show a speed of 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit of 25 km/h is reactivated. The e-bike then functions the same as before the chip installation. Do not deactivate while riding either!
We also considered e-bikes without the walk function available or active. In this case, you can activate and deactivate the tuning by double-switching between two modes, a combination of the buttons - + - +.
Setting the maximum assist speed is done by sequentially switching modes from TURBO mode three levels down and then three levels up (eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO). Then, the current speed limit will be displayed on the screen. You switch the maximum assist speed by briefly pressing the WALK button or by rotating the wheel 360°. A display of 2.5 km/h corresponds to a limit of 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponds to a limit of 30 km/h, 3.5 to 35 km/h, etc. The last displayed limit is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.

After finishing your ride, let the e-bike remain on until the SpeedBox completes the "countdown" process (indicated by continuing riding time on the display until it stops and the correct distance traveled is displayed) to avoid detection of tuning on your e-bike.

We recommend using additional safety features and protective products to prevent injuries.
We advise against updating the firmware of your e-bike. Updates increase the risk of tuning detection.
During brief stops, it is recommended to keep one foot on the pedal to prevent the kilometer countdown from starting.
For longer stops, allow at least partial kilometer countdown to occur.
Do not remove the display to lock the e-bike until the kilometer countdown has finished.
Perform tuning activation/deactivation strictly when stopped, not while riding.
We recommend not exceeding the suggested maximum speed of 35 km/h.
