It maintains a constant distance between the rear derailleur and the cassette across all 11 speeds by using a horizontal parallelogram and pulley offset to ensure fast and accurate shifting.
All movement was limited to the horizontal axis which makes it faster, reducing the force required to shift and eliminating chain skipping.
The ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH technology reduces the unnecessary movement of the derailleur and the chain. The CAGE LOCK technology makes wheel replacement easier than ever.
The XX1 shifting system is highly supported by the X-ACTUATION technology which ensures incredibly smooth shifting.
