The Troy Lee Designs A3 Helmet Mips is a top-tier trail and enduro helmet that elevates safety and comfort to a new level.
It is equipped with the advanced Mips® B32 system, which helps reduce rotational forces during impact, thereby enhancing brain protection.
Thanks to the dual-density EPS and EPP foam padding, the helmet provides optimal protection in both high-speed and low-speed impacts. 16 ventilation holes ensure effective airflow and a pleasant cooling effect during climbs and descents.
Ride comfort is enhanced by the TLD V3 Fit system, allowing precise 360° adjustments, and the magnetic Fidlock buckle, which makes fastening easy with one hand. The removable Sweat Glide sweatband wicks moisture away from the forehead, preventing it from dripping into the eyes. Additionally, the helmet is goggle-compatible and features an adjustable visor with magnetic attachment.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
