The Troy Lee Designs A3 Helmet Mips is a top-of-the-line trail and enduro helmet that takes safety and comfort to a new level.
It is equipped with the advanced Mips® B32 system, which helps reduce rotational forces upon impact, thereby increasing brain protection.
Thanks to the dual-density EPS and EPP foam padding, the helmet offers optimal protection in both high-speed and low-speed impacts. 16 ventilation openings ensure effective airflow and a pleasant cooling effect during ascents and descents.
Riding comfort is enhanced by the TLD V3 Fit system, which allows for precise 360° adjustment, as well as the Fidlock magnetic buckle, which allows for easy fastening with one hand. The removable Sweat Glide sweatband wicks moisture away from the forehead and prevents it from running into the eyes. Additionally, the helmet is compatible with downhill goggles and features an adjustable visor with magnetic attachment.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
