The Troy Lee Designs A3 is an enduro helmet with a modern minimalist design featuring the MIPS system, now available in a limited edition Troy Lee Designs x SRAM design.
The MIPS brain protection offers safety against both high and low speeds and reduces rotational impact energy by approximately 20-35%.
It has 16 ventilation holes for optimal airflow. Dual-density EPS and EPP foam provide enhanced head protection, keeping you safe in the event of a fall when combined with the MIPS system. It has been tested with sunglasses, ensuring a perfect fit with no obstructions.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
