The Oyo safe helmet allows easy use even for the smallest riders.
The shell made with in-mould technology is complemented by 10 ventilation holes for quality airflow.
Innovative safety features include Uvex xTRA Shield forehead protection, temple guards, and Uvex KID PROtect at the back of the helmet, which serves as a shock absorber and prevents the head from sliding on the backrest of a child seat.
Safe and comfortable helmet adjustments are enabled by the FAS, Monomatic, and anatomical IAS systems.
The option to attach a rear light to the back of the helmet. The light is not included. It can be purchased here: Uvex XB048.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
The quick adjustment system of the helmet straps allows for optimal helmet position adjustment. The helmet sits firmly on the head at all times and the straps stay in place.
The fastening mechanism located under the chin has several positions and can be easily adjusted with one hand while riding. Its flat design prevents twisting in the hands. Monomatic® is, without exception, standard equipment on all Uvex helmets.
