Description

Woom 5 EXPLORE kids’ bike in neon pink is a children’s all-terrain bike with 24" wheels for riders roughly aged 7 to 11. It sits in the higher tier of lightweight kids’ bikes focused on low weight, easy handling, and practical components for both asphalt and gravel. It combines disc brakes, an 8-speed drivetrain, and treaded tires for mixed surfaces.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from AA 6061 aluminum alloy with butted tubes and a boxy profile. The child-specific sporty geometry features a gentle bend in the top tube for easier mounting and a stable riding position. Up front, it uses a fully integrated 1" headset with sealed industrial bearings. The unicrown aluminum fork with a 1" steerer works with a generous trail for balanced steering.

The geometry is based on a 69° head angle and a 73° seat angle. The top tube has a horizontal length of 511.6 mm and a wheelbase of 973.6 mm. Cockpit height falls within the 850–900 mm range. Saddle height is adjustable roughly from 664 to 817 mm.

Components

Drivetrain: microSHIFT Acolyte shifting is set up as 1×8 and uses a trigger shifter. The cassette has an 11–32 range, and the cranks are 130 mm with a 28-tooth narrow-wide chainring.

Brakes: Promax hydraulic disc brakes in the flat mount standard use a 160 mm rotor up front and a 140 mm rotor in the rear. The brake levers are ergonomic and adjustable for a child’s hand.

Wheels and tires: The wheelset features ultra-light aluminum rims and aluminum hubs with sealed bearings. Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 24 × 2" tires in the Performance Line version are folding and have reflective stripes.

Cockpit: The aluminum handlebar is 580 mm wide and has tapered ends for smaller hands. The adjustable aluminum stem lets you fine-tune both riding height and reach.

Ride characteristics

The combination of a lightweight aluminum frame and a rigid aluminum fork supports precise tracking while pedaling. The 69° head angle together with the larger trail stabilizes handling on gravel and on faster descents. The 24 × 2" tires add mechanical comfort and confidence on unpaved terrain. The disc brakes with different rotor diameters help with modulation and speed control.

Who it’s for

The bike is intended for children roughly 125–145 cm tall who ride regularly and care about both weight and component performance. It’s well suited to cycle paths, forest roads, and everyday commuting, where the wide gear range and disc brakes make sense. Compared to typical 24" kids’ bikes with rim brakes, it adds braking power and control in poorer weather.
