Description

Beany Zero 27.5 kids’ bike white is a junior mountain bike with a rigid fork, built on a lightweight aluminum frame and 27.5" wheels. It’s aimed at more experienced kids and teenagers who already care about gearing, pedaling efficiency, and stability at higher speeds. In terms of components and weight, it fits into the sporty category of junior bikes for regular rides.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from 6061 aluminum alloy with triple-butted tubes, which reduces weight while maintaining the necessary stiffness. Up front, it features a rigid Beany fork made from 6061 aluminum, which simplifies maintenance and transfers power directly into the steering. The geometry is designed for junior proportions, with a 70° head tube angle and a 66° seat tube angle. The bike comes in 13.5" and 15" sizes and targets rider heights from 135 to 165 cm.

Components

Drivetrain: The Shimano CUES SL-U4000 shifter runs a 1x9 setup. At the rear, there’s a Shimano CS-LG300-9 11–41-tooth cassette and a KMC chain.

Brakes: Braking is handled by Tektro 837AL V-brake rim brakes front and rear. The Solely.jr brake levers have adjustable reach for smaller hands.

Wheels and tires: Solely jr. alloy rims are laced to Solely.jr alloy 32H hubs with sealed bearings. Innova 27.5 x 1.95" tires strike a sensible balance between rolling resistance and support on gravel.

Cockpit: Solely jr. alloy handlebars are 640 mm wide, and the Solely jr. alloy stem is 40 mm long. A Beany saddle is paired with a Solely jr. alloy seatpost.

Ride characteristics

The combination of a lightweight aluminum frame and rigid fork supports quick acceleration on flat ground and from a standstill. The 70° head angle keeps the handling predictable at higher speeds while still remaining agile enough in slower sections. The 1x9 gearing with an 11–41-tooth range helps maintain cadence on climbs without the complexity of a front derailleur. The 1.95" tires provide more confidence on gravel and dirt tracks compared to narrower sizes.
