Cannondale Moterra NEO 3 full-suspension e-bike DTE is a trail to all-mountain e-bike for riders who focus on drive performance and confidence in technical terrain. The 2022 model year is built around a Bosch mid-drive motor and a high-capacity battery for longer rides. It sits in the mid-range category, where the specific components and functional assemblies make the difference.
The frame is made from SmartForm C1 Alloy and is designed as a full-suspension platform with a strong trail focus. Suspension travel in the 130–150 mm range matches use in varied terrain and on longer descents. The mullet concept combines 29" and 27.5" wheel sizes depending on frame size and handling setup. Bosch system integration works with an in-frame battery and a mid-drive motor.
Drivetrain: Shifting is handled by Shimano Deore M6100 with 12 speeds. A Shimano XT rear derailleur works with a 10–51 cassette and FSA Bosch E-bike 34T cranks.
Brakes: Shimano MT420 brakes are four-piston hydraulic disc brakes. The rotors are 203/203 mm.
Wheels and tires: WTB ST i30 TCS rims are tubeless-ready and feature 32 holes. Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" up front and Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.6" in the rear come with EXO and are tubeless ready.
Cockpit: Cannondale 3 Riser handlebars made from 6061 aluminum are 780 mm wide. The TranzX dropper post has internal routing and 130 mm of travel in size S.
The combination of a RockShox Yari RC fork with 150 mm travel and a RockShox Deluxe Select shock with DebonAir supports traction on roots and rocks. Four-piston brakes and 203 mm rotors keep braking performance consistent on long descents. The Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85 Nm helps maintain cadence on steep climbs and in slower sections. Wider 2.6" tires increase support when leaning into corners and damp small vibrations.
The bike is intended for experienced riders who want a full-suspension e-bike for trail centers as well as natural trails. It’s well suited to longer rides with frequent alternation between climbs and descents, where you’ll benefit from the 750 Wh battery capacity.
