Do you want a durable tire that holds the line well and won't let you down when the asphalt isn't perfect? The Continental Grand Prix TR is the ideal choice. Black, elegant design with a lightweight kevlar bead, a model emerging from the iconic Grand Prix 5000 series, simply a tire for everyday usability.
Right from the first meters, you'll appreciate the fast rolling and feel for the asphalt thanks to the premium BlackChili compound. In the real world, this means more speed with the same effort and confidence when you let it loose downhill or tighten up on corner entry. Peace of mind on rough surfaces is ensured by the four-layer technology, which is the ideal combination for quick rides, training sessions, and longer trips.
The Grand Prix TR model is Tubeless Ready, so you can ride it tubeless with sealing sealant or traditionally with a tube – depending on what you prefer. The casing made of fine nylon fiber is multi-layered, durable, and sensitive in contact with the road. The tire features a kevlar folding bead for low weight and compact packaging. The tread is road-focused, smooth with sophisticated microstructure for stability in lean and reliable contact in both dry and wet conditions, suitable for year-round use.
The tire is designed for standard 700C road bikes and in the case of tubeless use is compatible with modern tubeless and hookless rims, always following the manufacturer's recommendations regarding pressure and installation.
Top level compound with a perfectly balanced ratio of grip, rolling resistance and durability. It is composed of refined synthetic rubber and natural rubber, to which additives forming a special surface are added. This mixture is produced exclusively at the Korbach plant in Germany.
