New for this year is a choice of two engines - the Panasonic GX Ultimate ("Best in Class") and the Bafang M500 ("A sleek little engine with big power"). The groupset is the same as the previous, eight series, either American SRAM or Japanese Shimano (currently we expect to use SRAM rather than Shimano due to the constant shortage of Shimano). So you'll find 1x12 SX Eagle drivetrain (the equivalent of Shimano's Deore groupset - the "golden mean"). The Rock Shox Judy is a air-sprung fork with 100mm travel and remote lockout. Maxxis 2.4" tires ensure stability and great traction off-road.
The Bafang engines are the most used engines in the world due to their attractive price/performance ratio. The Bafang M420 is a reliable and economical mid-mount motor, often an alternative to brands like Bosch, Shimano, Brose or Yamaha. The motor provides 95 Nm of torque and weighs 3.4 kg. This is the top-end Bafang motor, which was designed primarily for trail riding and demaning off-road use.
In addition to basic information regarding battery status and the currently used level of assistance, the easy-to-read, color LCD display also shows other riding data (speed, trip distance, etc.). The display is also equipped with a USB connector for charging mobile devices (telephone, navigation, lighting, etc.).
