About the Giant / Liv Brand
Giant is a leading global brand of high-quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology, and innovative design. In 2008, it became the first brand in the world to decide to produce bikes specifically for women—under the name Liv. The geometry, equipment, and colors are thus tailored to meet women's needs.
Electric Bike Description
Tempt is a women's mountain electric bike, suitable for beginner and advanced cyclists who prefer simpler and moderately profiled terrains. With motor support from Yamaha in the customized SyncDrive Core motor and an integrated EnergyPak Smart battery, a "new dimension" of mountain biking will open up to you.
SR Suntour XCM ATB Coil 29", 100mm
Forks from Suntour are often seen as a quality alternative to more expensive brands. The coil suspension fork with a 100mm travel, lockable from the crown, is primarily designed for XC/Marathon riding. This means most trails will be "smoothed" to your satisfaction by the fork.
EnergyPak 400 Wh
The bike’s battery allows you to use assistance levels for riding with support. The larger the battery capacity, the more kilometers you can cover. The range is 100 km with mild assistance. In moderate terrain and medium assistance, the actual range will be around 60 km. You can read about what affects the range in our blog.
Shimano Alivio, 9 Speeds
Sram, together with Shimano, equips most of the bicycles in the world. Shimano Deore is a line of quality components that a vast range of cyclists will use. With 9 speeds, you will be fast enough on the road and have the option of easy and cadenced pedaling uphill in large climbs.
The SyncDrive Core is a compact and lightweight motor that is ideal for city riding or recreational riding in the countryside, for example. The motor is tuned for 50 Nm of torque and a maximum boost of 300%, which are optimum values for the purpose of this motor and also help to reduce battery power consumption. There's no need to select a specific driving mode, you can fully rely on the automatic mode and drive in exactly the same way you're used to, but with more power. The result is an extremely comfortable, quiet and natural driving experience.
Our view:
SyncDrive Core is Giant's entry-level line of electric bike motors. It's the ideal option for urban or trekking e-bikes that you ride on moderately profiled terrain. Smart Assist technology includes six sensors including incline and acceleration/deceleration detection (called accelerometer). These sensors allow the motor to produce power based on rider input and the type of terrain the rider is currently navigating.
Parameters:
Torque - 50 Nm
Weight - 2.9 kg
