The new generation of the FOX 34 Step-Cast has been designed from the ground up to meet the highest demands of modern cross-country.
It offers an unrivaled combination of weight, stiffness, precision, and tunability for racing applications, without any compromises. It leverages technological innovations that make it one of the lightest and highest-performing 34 mm XC forks in FOX's lineup.
The all-new GRIP SL damping cartridge is designed for short travel and represents the absolute pinnacle in weight and performance. Its lightweight construction and precise tuning provide exceptionally sensitive response, excellent pedaling efficiency, and an integrated overpressure valve in the lockout mode, reducing rider fatigue during long climbs and intense efforts.
The arch of the 34 SC fork's lower legs is designed with modern bike geometries in mind. With larger head tube profiles and smaller offset, the arch curves forward to provide ample clearance at full compression while also contributing maximally to the torsional stiffness of the entire structure. The organic shaping resulted from many hours of development aimed at achieving optimal stiffness with minimal material.
Further weight savings come from the redesigned Kabolt SL axle. This lightweight thru axle eliminates excess material, saving 12 grams compared to the standard Kabolt axle. Minimizing the flange diameter and removing the nut contribute to maximum weight reduction without losing strength.
