Fox Speedframe Pro Backfade cycling helmet Lime gets you in the mood for fast, smooth rides off-road—when you want to keep your head protected and stay calm. In its lime-green color, it’s impossible to miss, yet it still looks sporty and clean.
The MIPS Air Node system helps protect your head during angled impacts, which are common on trails. Dual-density Varizorb™ EPS foam spreads impact forces over a larger area. The BOA fit system lets you fine-tune the fit with a single dial, even while wearing gloves. Ventilation channels in the EPS liner keep airflow comfortable even on long climbs.
The shell construction is In-mold with MIPS protection.
The helmet weighs approximately 350 g in size M.
Size S fits a head circumference of 51 to 55 cm, size M 55 to 59 cm, size L 59 to 63 cm.
Helmet certification includes CPSC, EN 1078, and AS/NZS 2063.
Fox Speedframe Pro Backfade is an MTB helmet for riders who care about protection, comfort, and usability down to every detail. The Fidlock Snap magnetic buckle makes it quicker to handle during stops, and you can adjust the visor with one hand. The practical storage area for sunglasses comes in handy when the light in the forest changes quickly.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). BOA Technology Inc. is headquartered in Denver, CO with offices in Austria, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan.
Fidlock, it is the cradle of innovative magnetic closures and attachments with mechanical lock. The company has been leading the development of these systems since the company was founded in 2007. Magnetic systems can be found, for example, in helmet closures or bicycle bottle cages. Reversing the polarity and unlocking the locks is possible with one hand, by turning or tilting and pushing the locks.
