Giant Explore E+ 1 DD is a trekking e-bike designed for touring, commuting, and gravel riding. It’s built around a mid-drive motor and comes fully equipped, including a rear rack, fenders, and lights. In terms of performance, it targets the upper tier of trekking e-bikes, with an emphasis on range and load capacity.
The frame is made from Gen 4 ALUXX aluminum with an integrated battery and mounts for a KSA40 kickstand. The Overdrive 1.8"–1.5" head tube increases front-end stiffness. SyncDrive Sport featuring Smart Assist technology is a compact motor developed by Yamaha to deliver a smooth and quiet ride for your bike. The engine delivers high horsepower even at low speeds. Smart Assist technology calculates the amount of torque, cadence, slope and speed and uses these numbers to determine how much power the engine can add. This engine also supports higher cadences and has a quick onset of torque, so it is an engine that can handle both more brisk riding on the flat and more demanding terrain with steep climbs.
