Aluminum Frame with Modern Geometry
The lightweight aluminum frame ALUXX combined with the full carbon fork perfectly merges stiffness for maximum pedaling efficiency with compliance for high comfort. The frame's geometry combines an endurance riding position with a shorter rear stay for precise handling, agility, and perfect control of the bike. A longer reach (i.e., the horizontal distance from the center of the bike to the top of the head tube), a shorter stem, and a lower bottom bracket enhance stability on rougher terrain.
High Comfort
The new frame features lower seat stays of a smaller diameter for even better shock and vibration absorption. Higher comfort is also aided by the specially shaped D-Fuse seatpost and Contact XR D-Fuse handlebars—both function together as a system and slightly flex under load, without reducing stiffness when cornering, climbing, or riding out of the saddle.
Customizing the Bike According to Terrain
An important innovation is the so-called flip chip rear dropouts, which allow changing the bike's wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase results in higher “agility” of the bike, while setting to a longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and simultaneously increases clearance for the rear tire (up to 53 mm). The new frame also allows for the choice of seatpost type (thanks to a special adapter), making it possible to use either the “compliant” Giant D-Fuse seatpost or a standard round 30.9 mm seatpost—thanks to this, the frame allows for telescopic use.
