Fixture II MIPS is a helmet designed for off-road use, with a shape derived from much more expensive models by Giro. It features an extended rear profile, providing enhanced protection for the back of the head.
MIPS is a slip liner between the EPS shell (the body of the helmet) and the interior padding. In the event of an angled impact (for example, when you snag a branch with your head), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters over the MIPS layer, thereby protecting the head and brain from a sharp rotational jerk.
The helmet is excellently ventilated thanks to 16 vents and fits perfectly on your head using the Roc Loc Sport retention system, which can be easily tightened with one hand using an adjustment wheel and is compatible with ponytails.

Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
