The Embolden series features a ALUXX aluminum frame - improved geometry, internal cable routing, and now a thru-axle on the rear wheel as well.
The single pivot rear suspension FlexPoint provides 120 mm of travel and, with the air shock, will sensitively react to both larger and smaller bumps. The advantage of this simple yet fully functional solution is easy maintenance (fewer pivots mean fewer bearings). The air suspension fork offers 130 mm of travel.
Thanks to the dropper seatpost controlled from the handlebars, descents or playful single tracks will be more enjoyable and safer. Improved bike handling is also ensured by wider handlebars and a shorter stem. Wider tires provide more confidence, and the wheels are also tubeless-ready, offering better riding characteristics and reduced puncture risk.
This Performance level frame material features 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes to produce strong, lightweight framesets for a variety of different bikes and riding styles.
A proven “single-pivot” design that uses the flexing action of the chainstay/seatstay junction to produce a lightweight and durable suspension system with 4.7 inches/120mm of rear travel. The FlexPoint reacts sensitively to large and small bumps through the air shock.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
