More informationMaxxis Ikon is a lightweight racing tire for the true racer in 29x2.20. With Dual Compound, high volume and fast tread, it retains exemplary performance in all riding conditions and is becoming an icon in the racing world.
TR - Tubeless Ready option.
The dual tread compounds use two different compounds. The centre of the tread uses a firmer compound to improve rolling resistance and create stronger braking edges, while the sidewalls and the tread side knobs use a softer compound for better control and cornering grip.
EXO is a puncture and abrasion resistant material that is added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis MTB and gravel tires. Choose EXO Protection for superior durability in gravel, XC and light trail riding.

Ask a question
If I want to use this tire as tubeless, is 60 TPI enough or is it better to invest in the one with 120 TPI. Mainly I want it to be durable and hold pressure well so I don’t have to keep pumping it up all the time; weight isn’t that important to me.
I want to ask if it would be a problem to swap the 2.10 wide tires on my bike for the Maxxis Ikon ones?
Chci se zepta jestli by nebyl problém vyměnit na mém kole pláště široké 2.10 za ty Maxxis Ikon?
I use this tire, but which tire would you recommend for riding in winter?
Používám tento plášť , ale jaký plast by jste mi doporučil na ježdění v zimě ?
Can I use this tire with a tube as well?
Můžu tento plášť použít i s duší ?
Hi, at the moment I have Schwalbe Smart Sam, Active, 2.25\".. is it possible to fit these: Maxxis Ikon 29x2,20\" EXO TR plášť kevlar, both front and rear? Is TPI 60 enough if I’m still running tubes? thanks
zdravím, mmt mám Schwalbe Smart Sam, Active, 2.25\".. je možné osadit tyto: Maxxis Ikon 29x2,20\" EXO TR plášť kevlar a to jak přední tak zadní? stačí TPI 60 pokud počítám stále s duší ? děkuji
Hello, could you recommend a 29-inch tire type for me? I mostly ride forest and dirt roads, partly on pavement. So far I’ve used Continental Race King, I’m considering Maxxis Ikon or Pirelli Scorpoin. Thank you for your reply. Best regards, Jiří
Dobrý den, mohl by jste mi doporučit typ pláště o rozměru 29 palců. Jezdím většinou lesní a polní cesty, částečně silnice. Dosud jsem používal Continental Race King, přemýšlím o Maxxis Icon či Pirelli Scorpoin. Děkuji za odpověď. S pozdravem, Jiří

Great, long-lasting. I like coming back to it.
Super, dlouhá výdrž. rád se k ní vracím.
I've been running this model on my XC bike for several seasons now. I've already had several pieces, no reason to change.
Vozím tento model na XC kole již několikátou sezónu. Mám již několikátý kus, nemám důvod měnit.
