The Minion DHF tire was designed for loose and muddy conditions of the NORBA downhill series.
Now available in the Skinwall version.
The Maxxis Minion DHF Skinwall uses ramped knobs to reduce rolling resistance with grooved channels to increase the number of contact edges, ensuring better control in straight lines and precise cornering.
Depending on track conditions, the DHF version can be used front and rear or at the front paired with DHR at the back.
The versatile Dual Compound blend for different surfaces also has good durability and high mileage.

EXO is a puncture and abrasion resistant material that is added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis MTB and gravel tires. Choose EXO Protection for superior durability in gravel, XC and light trail riding.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance.
And where there is no tube, it also reduces the risk of punctures. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared to be mounted with sealant than other "tubeless" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true tubeless UST tire.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread pattern and profile of the tire on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for 35mm inner rim widths, but have been proven to work in the 30-35mm inner rim width range. Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm inner rims, but will work well on rims as narrow as 25mm. Maxxis does not recommend rims wider than 30 mm or narrower than 25 mm.
The dual tread compounds use two different compounds. The centre of the tread uses a firmer compound to improve rolling resistance and create stronger braking edges, while the sidewalls and the tread side knobs use a softer compound for better control and cornering grip.
