USED TECHNOLOGIES IN GENERAL:

ProWALL
The protective sidewall reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low air pressures in the tire. An additional layer of nylon fabric over the casing on the sidewall increases resistance not only to cuts and pinch flats but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners, thus allowing for better bike handling and more precise track holding. These properties were achieved without compromising the tire weight and the efficiency of power transfer from pedaling, making tires with this technology perfect for use in racing XC setups to aggressive trail riding when paired with a suitable casing (120tpi or 60tpi).

SmartGRIP
This top-tier rubber compound is the result of Pirelli's global experience from off-road racing circuits for both 2 and 4 wheels. Pirelli engineers have developed a compound with two diametrically opposite properties:
• cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer lifespan
• wet grip: no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it will rain or the trail will have muddy and slippery sections

The result is the longer-lasting riding properties of the tire, maintaining excellent grip and traction in contrasting conditions like dry and wet, while also retaining these riding characteristics even as the tread wears down. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixtures, the single-compound SmartGRIP composition allows for consistent riding properties throughout the tire's wear lifecycle. Increased mechanical resistance of the rubber also provides higher durability not only against wear but also against punctures.
