When the trail drops into a steep descent and you want to hold your line, confidence at lean angles and under braking is what matters. The Schwalbe Tacky Chan folding kevlar tire keeps the bike composed and gives you the space to focus on the next corner.
Fast rolling and strong braking traction help you keep your speed even as the surface changes from hardpack to loose. In corners, it holds a line with predictable behavior.
The Addix Soft compound boosts grip on rocks and roots, so the bike bounces less and stays under better control. You’ll appreciate this most in fast sections.
The tubeless-ready design with TLE technology supports stable contact with the ground and lets you run pressure tuned precisely to the track. Less wasted energy, more confidence.
The tire size is 29x2.40 inches for modern trail and downhill bikes.
The ETRTO size is 62-622 for rims with a diameter corresponding to 29 inches.
The recommended pressure is a maximum of 3.5 bar for safe use in tubeless mode.
The tire load capacity is 125 kg for the bike and rider including gear.
Schwalbe Tacky Chan is a tire that combines speed with confidence in corners and braking zones. The folding kevlar bead makes handling easier, and the tubeless setup adds calm in demanding terrain. If you ride fast and want predictable support, this is a tire you can rely on.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
