The Pirelli Scorpion™ Trail R tire is specifically designed for the rear wheel.
It's the best choice for an aggressive riding style on trails where terrain and surface types change, but maintaining maximum traction remains essential.
The Pirelli Scorpion Trail is a complete tire range designed for trail riding. The tires use the SmartGRIP rubber compound, ensuring solid grip and puncture protection, both in wet and dry conditions.
You can rely on the Scorpion Trail for your local trails as well as for adventures in the mountains. Their reliability and long-lasting riding performance allow you to focus entirely on your ride without worrying about the equipment you're using.
SmartGRIP
Experience and victories in rally and motocross have led Pirelli developers to invent the innovative SmartGRIP rubber compound. This special compound combines two opposing properties:
a) Cut resistance: ensures maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions, higher puncture resistance, and longer durability.
b) Chemical grip in wet conditions: no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it will rain or if there will be muddy and slippery sections on the track.
The result is longer-lasting tire performance, with excellent grip. The tire maintains these performance characteristics even as the tread wears. The single-compound composition of SmartGRIP allows for consistent riding performance throughout the tire's wear. The greater mechanical resistance of the rubber also provides higher resistance not only to wear but also to punctures.
ProWALL
The protective sidewall reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and a more stable performance when using low tire pressures. An added layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall's casing increases resistance not only to cuts and pinch flats but also enhances the tire's overall behavior in corners, allowing for better bike control and more precise tracking. Tires with this technology are perfect for use in racing XC setups to aggressive trail riding.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
