The Rascal children's helmet for a comfortable and safe bike ride.
The helmet is made using in-mold technology and features EPS foam padding for impact absorption. The size of the helmet can be adjusted for a head circumference range of 51 - 55 cm using the rear DIAL mechanism with a wheel.
It also features convenient magnetic FIDLOCK closure for easier one-handed operation, ensuring that your child does not pinch their skin.
The front part of the helmet and the nape are extended for increased safety.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
Fidlock, it is the cradle of innovative magnetic closures and attachments with mechanical lock. The company has been leading the development of these systems since the company was founded in 2007. Magnetic systems can be found, for example, in helmet closures or bicycle bottle cages. Reversing the polarity and unlocking the locks is possible with one hand, by turning or tilting and pushing the locks.
