Between Bolzano, Brixen, and the Brenta Dolomites, winter in the Dolomites offers a maze of trails for those unafraid to venture into the remote wilderness.
The Alp Mate Winter Mid was developed for mountain enthusiasts seeking reliable ankle boots for winter hiking or snowshoeing. It features a durable upper made from thick suede leather (1.2–1.4 mm) and robust stretch fabric, complemented by a PFC-free waterproof and breathable PowerTex membrane that keeps snow, slush, and rain reliably out. A protective rubber rand surrounds the entire boot for additional 360° protection against mechanical damage.
This boot is designed for maximum performance in winter conditions. It features the patented SALEWA® 3F system with sturdy Kevlar cables for flexibility, heel support, and a stable, protected fit. The inner lining of Alpine Wool provides thermal insulation even at very low temperatures. The midsole made of durable EVA foam offers a soft stride and excellent shock absorption on hard terrain. Thanks to the Climbing Lacing with adaptive hooks, the boot can be easily and precisely adjusted for maximum comfort and secure fit.
The Pomoca™ Winter Hike outsole has a special pattern for optimal stability, grip, and traction on rocks, mud, snow, and ice. The S-Path biomechanical technology supports the natural movement of the foot on and off the trail.
