In the mountains, confidence with every step matters—even when the weather turns within minutes. The Salewa Mountain Trainer 2 GTX will support you on rock, scree, and wet grass.
The waterproof GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane keeps your feet dry while still breathing well at a brisk pace. A protective elastic gaiter under the lacing helps prevent water and debris from getting in from above.
The durable 1.6 mm suede leather upper feels solid and doesn’t behave “soft” in the terrain. It’s reinforced all around by a 360° rubber rand that cushions abrasion against rocks.
The Vibram outsole grips on rock and scree and adds stability when stepping on smaller edges. A via ferrata zone in the middle of the outsole helps transfer power onto ladder rungs.
Climbing-style lacing with fine-tuning at the toe improves foot control in technical terrain. The 3F system connects the instep, heel, and outsole, so the shoe stays secure without unnecessary pressure.
The upper is made of 1.6 mm suede leather combined with synthetic materials.
Waterproofing is provided by the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane.
The polyurethane midsole cushions impact and returns energy while walking.
The Vibram outsole features a via ferrata zone and self-cleaning grooves.
