When the day turns into a rocky traverse and the weather starts doing whatever it wants, you need calm, confident footing. Salewa Mountain Trainer 2 GTX women’s hiking shoes give you support, confidence, and a comfortable stride even off marked trails.
The waterproof GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane protects against rain while also helping keep your feet comfortable on longer climbs. The low-cut design stays agile, yet thanks to its construction it holds the foot securely even on scree slopes.
The Vibram outsole combines stability on rock with confidence on softer ground such as grass or mud. Self-cleaning grooves help when the trail turns into sticky terrain.
The via ferrata zone on the outsole improves support on metal rungs and ladders. In technical sections, you can feel better contact with the ground.
The women-specific fit with a shaped heel cup reduces heel slippage on descents. The 3F system adds support around the instep and ankle without unnecessary stiffness.
The upper is made of 1.6 mm suede leather combined with textile.
The PU (polyurethane) midsole cushions impact and helps reduce foot fatigue.
The Vibram outsole features a via ferrata zone for a more confident step on metal.
The 360° protective rubber rand covers the perimeter of the shoe to guard against abrasion on rocky ground.
