Durable, windproof, and water-repellent softshell pants for mountain trekking.
Designed to protect you against all weather conditions. The robust and durable Durastretch material offers excellent temperature regulation without restricting mobility, breathability in all weather, and moisture wicking. The PFC-free DWR coating provides an additional layer of protection.
The design features two side pockets and one back pocket; all are zippered. Overall flexibility is enhanced by adjustable hems, reinforced crotch, ergonomic waist, and articulated knees. You'll also appreciate the sturdy belt loops.
This is the mid-length version of the pants.
Composition: 91% polyester, 9% elastane.
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
Spandex, Lycra or elastane are synthetic fibers known for their exceptional elasticity. It is stronger and more durable than natural rubber. It is a polyester-polyurethane copolymer that was invented in 1958 by chemist Joseph Shivers at DuPont's Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, Virginia. The advantage of spandex is its significant strength and elasticity, and the ability to return to its original shape after stretching and to dry faster than ordinary fabrics.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
