Salewa Puez 32+5 l is a versatile women's backpack with easy access and a ventilated carrying system.
Designed based on extensive research and development work with mountain enthusiasts and professional alpinists. This backpack includes the Dry Back Contact carrying system with EVA padding for airflow, providing comfortable wear with excellent ventilation. It features a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish that is PFC-free.
The backpack is made from durable and lightweight materials - 210 denier Robic ripstop nylon and 330 denier textured ballistic ripstop nylon, in a progressive and versatile design with a top zipper and front zipper access.
The setup of the backpack and quick, easy access to the contents is ensured by its roll-top opening and deep offset Infinity Zip.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
The Salewa Dry Back Air system is designed to keep the weight close to the body and ensure that the back stays dry for as long as possible. This has been achieved by reducing the contact area between the support system and the user's back, technical construction using air channels and breathable materials.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
